Specialized physiotherapy for the pelvic floor. Pre and post-natal, incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, and return-to-sport after birth. Private, consent-based, 1-on-1.
The pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissue that supports your bladder, bowel, and (if applicable) uterus. It works alongside your core, hips, and diaphragm every time you move, lift, cough, run, or breathe. When it's not working well, the symptoms are common, and fixable.
Pelvic health physiotherapy at PRT is specialized treatment from a registered physiotherapist with advanced training. Assessment is thorough, explanation is clear, and every step is consent-based.
Posture, breathing, core, hip, and back mechanics. Often where the answer is.
Optional, consent-based, only when it will change the plan. Fully explained first.
Manual techniques for tight, weak, or guarded pelvic floor muscles.
Breathing, core coordination, strength work, and return-to-sport progressions.
Pelvic health issues affect people across every life stage. Most are treatable, and you don't need to "wait and see if it gets better." If any of this sounds like you, book an assessment.
Staying active safely, managing pelvic girdle pain, preparing for birth.
Core and pelvic floor rehab after vaginal or C-section birth.
Leaking with coughing, sneezing, jumping, lifting, or running.
Sudden, strong need to go. Frequent bathroom trips.
Pain with intercourse, tampon use, or no obvious trigger.
Pressure, heaviness, or a sense of something "falling down."
Abdominal separation that persists after pregnancy.
Running, lifting, Hyrox, and getting back to training after birth.
Pelvic floor changes related to hormonal shifts.
Your initial assessment is 45 minutes. Everything is explained before it happens. You lead the pace, and you can say no to any part at any time.
We talk through symptoms, medical history, pregnancy and birth history (if relevant), goals, and anything you want us to know. No judgement, no rushing.
We assess posture, breathing, core, hips, and back. Often, external findings explain the symptoms and internal isn't needed.
Only if it will change the plan and only with your full, informed consent. Fully explained, fully in your control. You can skip it.
You leave with a clear picture of what's going on, what we're going to do about it, and what you can start doing today.
Your full session is in a private treatment room, with the same physiotherapist from start to finish. No one else walking in, no shared space, no rush. You control the pace.
We treat the whole person. Your core, hips, back, breathing, and training all affect how your pelvic floor actually works, so all of them are part of the conversation.
