Infrared
Sauna.

Full-spectrum infrared sauna for deep recovery. Infrared heats you directly rather than just heating the air around you, which makes 30 to 45 minutes easier to tolerate and more effective for circulation, relaxation, and cardiovascular benefit.

How infrared sauna
works.

Traditional saunas heat the air around you. Infrared saunas emit light that heats your body directly, which means a lower ambient temperature, a more tolerable experience, and a deeper thermal effect. Our sauna uses full-spectrum infrared (near, mid, and far).

Regular sauna use is one of the most research-supported recovery tools we offer, with benefits for cardiovascular health, circulation, recovery, and stress regulation. Thirty focused minutes in the sauna often does more than two hours of scrolling on the couch.

Why people use it

Cardiovascular training

Heat exposure trains the same adaptations as moderate exercise.

Recovery

Circulation support and muscle relaxation after training.

Stress regulation

Down-regulates the nervous system. The modern version of sitting by a fire.

Skin & circulation

Whole-body warmth supports healthy circulation to skin and periphery.

What people
use it for.

Sauna use is less about treating a specific condition and more about stacking a well-evidenced habit. A few common reasons to book:

Training recovery

Post-workout heat exposure for circulation and muscle relaxation.

Cardiovascular health

Research supports regular sauna use for heart health outcomes.

Sleep quality

Many people report better sleep after evening sessions.

Stress management

Reliable way to downshift after a loud day.

Muscle tension

Heat helps tight, overworked muscles let go.

Circulation support

Peripheral circulation benefit from whole-body warming.

Post-travel

Reset after flights, time zones, or sitting-heavy days.

Winter immune support

Regular heat exposure, especially in colder months.

Pair with other recovery

Sauna + NormaTec + red light is a legit stack.

How a session
works.

Sauna bookings are private. You have the room to yourself for the duration of your session.

01

Arrive and settle

Get here a few minutes early. Front desk shows you to the sauna suite. Water provided.

02

03

The session

30 to 45 minutes inside. Start at 25 to 30 minutes if you're newer to infrared. Towel to sit on. You control the door and the heat.

04

Cool down

Cool rinse, rehydrate, dress, head out. Keep drinking water afterward.

Our sauna
setup.

The sauna is single-occupancy (or paired at your choice), cleaned between every session, and easy to slot into a regular recovery routine.

The benefits compound with consistency. A single session feels great. A few a week over a year is where the real payoff shows up.

Who provides this.

Infrared sauna sessions are self-guided. Our front desk explains how to use the sauna on your first visit. If you want to know whether sauna is safe given a specific medical condition, talk to one of our practitioners or your doctor first.

Common questions.

Is it safe?
For most healthy adults, yes. Stay hydrated, listen to your body, and exit if you feel lightheaded. If you are pregnant, have cardiovascular disease, low blood pressure, are taking medications that affect heat tolerance, or have heat-sensitive conditions, check with your doctor before booking.
How often should I use it?
Research on cardiovascular and longevity benefits points to 2 to 4 sessions per week. Once a week still has value. More than that is usually fine if you're hydrating and feeling good.
What do I wear?
Swimwear or a towel. Bring a second towel to sit on. We provide one, but some people prefer their own.
Should I eat before a session?
A light meal 1 to 2 hours before is ideal. Full stomach right before sauna is uncomfortable. Empty stomach for 45 minutes of heat also isn't fun.
Can I stack it with other services?
Yes. Sauna + NormaTec + red light (at East York) is a common recovery stack. Book individual services or ask the front desk about packages.
Is it covered by insurance?
Most insurance plans don't cover sauna directly. Sessions are paid out of pocket. Recovery Room memberships and packages are available for regulars.
